Cutting Board Care Instructions
First and foremost, if you are using these board for more than decoration, we highly recommend you only use the non engraving side, to help prevent food and bacteria build up in the groves of the engraving. Below are recommendations your cutting board would like you to know:
- Treat me like a diva—no dishwashers, please! A hot spin in there will have me cracking under pressure and warping out of shape. Handwash only, darling!
- Give me a proper spa day, not a quick rinse! Warm water, dish soap, and don’t forget my sides, edges, and bottom—I need the full treatment. Only washing the top is like putting sunscreen on just your nose; uneven moisture makes me swell in all the wrong places, and next thing you know, I’m all warped and wonky. Show some love, will ya?
- Got stains or smells? Time for a citrus scrubdown! Sprinkle me with some coarse salt, splash on that zesty lemon juice, and give me a good rub—think of it as my exfoliation. Let me chill for a few minutes, then rinse me off, pat me down, and let me air out overnight like the diva I am. Oh, and prop me up on my edge—both sides need their beauty sleep!
- Wood gets thirsty too—like your hungover coworker clutching a water bottle on Wednesday morning. Once a month, give me a mineral oil massage (don’t forget my sides) and let me soak it all in for at least 3 hours. Prop me up on my edge to dry off, and if you really want to spoil me, seal the deal with a wax cream. Hydrated and happy—just like your coworker after their third coffee.
